About the event

One week that sets the standard — and shows off Cebu.

The General Assembly is where ISTQB member boards meet to steer the world's most widely recognised software-testing certification. In 2027, PhSTQB brings that gathering to the Philippines for the first time.

The week is built in two parts. QA QuestConf PH — the country's first ISTQB conference — opens the programme in Manila on 10 April. Delegates then move to the island of Mactan, Cebu, where ISTQB Working Groups meet from 12–15 April and the General Assembly convenes on 16–17 April at the beachfront Crimson resort.

Official alignment

Backed by the ISTQB framework

This isn't a third-party event using the ISTQB name. It's convened by PhSTQB — the ISTQB-approved national board for the Philippines — the same body that administers ISTQB certification here.

That's why the programme can put the ISTQB President, Vice-President and syllabus authors on one stage, and why the General Assembly itself is held in Cebu.

  • ISTQB-approved national board. Hosted by PhSTQB, the official ISTQB member board for the Philippines. Approved board
  • ISTQB Conference Network. Recognition as an official ISTQB conference. Application in progress
  • Official ISTQB session in the Manila programme, delivered by ISTQB leadership. Planned
  • ISTQB certificate holders & Partner Program members — priority registration and certified-attendee recognition.

ISTQB® is a registered trademark of the International Software Testing Qualifications Board. Official ISTQB marks and Conference Network logo are displayed once approval is confirmed.

Why Cebu

Where the standards meet the sea.

Mactan Island sits 30 minutes from its own international airport, ringed by turquoise water and lined with resorts — a place delegates actually want to travel for.

  • Direct arrivals. Mactan–Cebu International (CEB) connects across Asia, the Middle East and beyond.
  • A resort venue. Ocean-facing halls and delegate rooms under one roof at Crimson Mactan.
  • Something to stay for. Island hopping, Kawasan Falls, whale sharks and 500 years of heritage next door.

Hosted in the Philippines

More than a venue — a nation on the rise.

For the first time, the ISTQB community gathers in the Philippines — 7,641 islands, world-renowned hospitality, and one of Asia's fastest-growing software-quality workforces.

The flag that welcomes you tells the story: a golden sun with eight rays for the provinces that first rose for freedom, and three stars for the country's three island groups. Cebu — your host — sits at the heart, in the Visayas.
